Our hot meals are freshly prepared and cooked in our kitchen at Rowanfield Infant School by staff from Alliance in Partnership (AIP).
A large hall provides a space for children to enjoy healthy food with their friends.
These meals are completely free for all pupils due to the Government funded Universal Infant Free School Meal programme.
There is a choice of four menu options daily including a healthy packed lunch. These menus roll on a three-weekly rota. From time to time, AIP offer special themed menus which will be shared with parents in advance.
Children can make their lunch choice on the morning they are having a school meal. The kitchen staff are informed of their choice and this is noted for later on.
Alternative to AIP's meals, a healthy packed lunch can be brought in from home. We ask that children do not bring fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate to school. We are a healthy school and promote a balanced diet for all our pupils.
If your child has a food allergy or intolerance please let us know at the School Office where we will ask you to complete a Health Care Plan.
In addition to this, you will also need to contact AIP directly to inform them of your wish for your child to have hot dinners which follow a special diet. You can do this by calling 0121 420 3030 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also complete the allergen information form below and attach it to your email.
